Welcome to the Relay Resources Board of Directors, Shannon Martin!

Shannon has worked at The Standard for more than a decade. In her Senior Director role, she leads teams to improve financial systems and processes within their Corporate Finance and Accounting division.

We’re honored to add Shannon’s passion and experience to our Board of Directors!

Our mission has personal meaning for Shannon, as one of her nieces has a disability.

“I have been able to see first-hand the challenges and barriers that she has had to face to be able to live and work with her disability,” says Shannon.

“Being a part of Relay’s Board of Directors will allow me to help other people like my niece find meaningful work.”

She also has a connection to our largest social enterprise, Janitorial – her uncle worked in the janitorial field his entire career. 

Considering this is Disability Pride Month, we asked Shannon what Disability Pride means to her.

“It’s an opportunity to celebrate disabilities and how far we have come,” she said. “It is also a good reminder that more needs to be done to the world we live in to be truly inclusive for the disabled community.”
