Relay Resources Welcomes Three New Board Members

Kymbreanna Elliott, Esq.

Kymbreanna Elliot is a dedicated and forward-thinking attorney with a strong foundation in corporate transactions, governance, regulatory compliance, and intellectual property law. With a multidisciplinary background and a deep commitment to equity and inclusion, she brings both strategic insight and a passion for social justice to her legal work.

Kymbreanna is currently an attorney at Stinson LLP, where she advises clients on a range of legal matters including corporate governance, risk management, data privacy, technology law, and intellectual property. Her experience spans drafting and filing successful patent applications, analyzing the legal implications of emerging technologies, and supporting clients with privacy and data protection strategies. Prior to her current role, she clerked for federal administrative law judges, where she developed a nuanced understanding of regulatory and adjudicative processes.

A native of the Portland, Oregon metro area, Kymbreanna earned her undergraduate degree in Political Science from Seattle Pacific University where she co-founded the Justice Coalition and led a group of over 50 students in successfully advocating for reformed institutional policies and practices that promote equity and inclusion, and lobbied the administration to create the Office of Vice President for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. 

She went on to earn her Juris Doctor from Howard University School of Law, where she was recognized with multiple CALI Awards® and received the Pro Bono Honors Award for completing over 130 hours of public service. While at Howard, she was an active member of the Class Council and contributed to initiatives such as the Howard & Harvard Justice Initiative. She also participated in student organizations including the Sports and Entertainment Law Student Association and the Technology, Media & Telecommunications Association, reflecting her interest in the intersection of law, innovation, and culture.

Kymbreanna is licensed to practice law in Washington, D.C., and is eligible to practice in any UBE jurisdiction. She is known for her exceptional legal research and writing skills, meticulous attention to detail, and strategic problem-solving abilities. Her clients value her ability to foster strong relationships while delivering clear, solutions-oriented counsel to navigate complex legal challenges.

Passionate about disability rights and inclusion, Kymbreanna is committed to using her skills to support organizations that prioritize equity and access. Her legal acumen, paired with a deep sense of purpose and generational perspective, make her a valuable addition to the Relay Resources Board of Directors.

 

Suhail Khan

Suhail Khan is a seasoned business executive with over a decade of leadership experience across the retail and insurance sectors. He currently serves as Vice President at USI Insurance Services, one of the nation’s leading brokerage and consulting firms. In his role, Suhail partners with clients to design comprehensive solutions in property and casualty insurance, as well as risk management.

Originally from Northwest India, Suhail moved to Portland at the age of 15. He graduated from Ida B. Wells High School and went on to earn both his Bachelor’s degree and MBA from George Fox University. His personal and professional journey is shaped by a commitment to building stronger, more inclusive communities.

Suhail began his insurance career by earning his Property and Casualty Producer License and quickly advancing into leadership roles. Over the years, he has worked with a wide range of organizations across the Portland metropolitan area, deepening his passion for using insurance as a tool to support mission-driven work. He understands the unique risk profiles and operational challenges that nonprofits face—from liability exposure and property coverage to directors and officers (D&O) insurance and Cybersecurity insurance. Suhail is committed to helping these organizations build tailored risk management strategies that not only protect their people and assets, but also enable them to operate with confidence and sustainability. Known for his integrity and collaborative approach, he brings strategic insight and a strong sense of purpose to every endeavor.

Fluent in Hindi and Urdu, Suhail is passionate about fostering meaningful connections across diverse populations. He is actively involved in the Portland community, where he advocates for inclusive engagement and helps nonprofit organizations identify tools and strategies to better serve their missions.

A lifelong sports enthusiast and former high school tennis player, Suhail values the spirit of teamwork and community both on and off the court.

As a member of Relay Resources’ Board of Directors, Suhail brings a blend of business acumen, cultural awareness, and a heartfelt dedication to empowering individuals of all abilities

 

Michael Holton

Michael Holton is a dedicated community leader, business owner, and former professional athlete who brings a unique blend of experience in leadership, public engagement, and service to his role on the Relay Resources Board. A longtime resident of Portland, Oregon, Michael has spent over 30 years in the region, becoming a well-known figure through both his professional and civic contributions.

Michael earned his Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where he also played Division I basketball. He went on to have a successful career in the National Basketball Association (NBA), playing for the Portland Trail Blazers, Phoenix Suns, Chicago Bulls, and Charlotte Hornets. His career in athletics later expanded into coaching, including a tenure as head coach of the University of Portland men’s basketball team.

Today, Michael continues to stay connected to the game as a television and radio analyst for the Portland Trail Blazers. His thoughtful and energetic presence on broadcasts has made him a respected voice in the Portland sports community. Beyond his role in broadcasting, Michael is also a successful entrepreneur, operating a State Farm agency where he supports individuals and families with insurance and financial services. He is recognized as both an Ambassador Travel Qualifier and National Convention Qualifier, demonstrating his consistent commitment to service and excellence in his field.

Michael is actively engaged in Portland’s local business community. His professional path reflects a deep belief in teamwork, strategic thinking, and clear communication, skills that translate naturally into his work with community organizations.

Michael is passionate about equity, education, and opportunity. His long-standing involvement in the Portland area has given him a front-row view into the needs of diverse communities, and he is excited to bring that insight into his service at Relay. With a personal connection to education and inclusion, his wife is a special education teacher, Michael is especially motivated by Relay’s mission to create meaningful employment and community engagement opportunities for individuals of all abilities.

Through his multifaceted career, Michael has earned a reputation for integrity, positivity, and a people-first approach. His ability to inspire, connect, and lead across sectors makes him a valuable addition to the Relay Resources Board.
