From our beginnings to what’s ahead, this film captures Relay’s journey and the future we’re building together where disabled people belong. Everywhere.

A Short Film Series: Relay's Legacy

These films trace the story of Relay Resources, from our beginnings as the Portland Children’s Center in 1951 to our vision of a future where all disabled people belong. Everywhere.

“Our past informs our future, and as we create our future, that becomes our present. This forms a continuous, interconnected cycle,” explains Dr. Jennifer Camota Luebke, CEO, chief disability and inclusion officer, and president of Relay Resources. What started as a response to exclusion has grown into a broader commitment to disability access, inclusion, and belonging across workplaces and communities.

About the Films

At our 75th Anniversary Celebration, we shared an abridged version of the film of our past. The full version offers a deeper look at the people, milestones, and moments that have shaped Relay over time. It reflects how our past informs our vision of the future, and how as we continually strive for that future, it shapes our present.

Relay’s Legacy is not just about where we’ve been. It’s about how we continue to grow, listen, and build toward a future where disabled people belong. Everywhere. These films are an invitation to understand that journey and to be part of what comes next.
